Our Trip To The Holy Lands

Brian and I, along with 18 others from our church were blessed with the opportunity to travel to Egypt, Jordan and Israel to follow the Exodus route that Moses and the Israelites followed on their way to the promised land.  We started in Egypt at the famous pyramids of Giza and ended in the amazing city of Jerusalem, Israel.  The memories and experiences of our trip will last a lifetime.  The things we saw and experienced have changed us forever.  We are so thankful to our gracious Lord for giving us this amazing trip.  I will be posting our pictures along with some explanations over the next I-don't-know-how-long.  I have a lot of pictures and not a whole lot to say and not very much time to spend on the blogging anyway.  So here a few pictures to get started...

(This is the only glimpse of Israel that Moses was allowed to see)

In Tel Aviv, Israel: Delicious appetizer of the best feta cheese I have ever had.
Seriously.

Trina was baptized in the Jordan River.

Jerusalem at last.

Okay.  That's all I have for now.  More soon to come.  I hope.

Sunsets

Whoops, it's been a long time since I posted on here. :) Lately we've been having some beautiful sunsets, and have been able to catch a few.

And here's a random one of Daniel:

Busy Weekend

Well, we had a pretty full weekend, but it was lots of fun. On Friday we went to the fair to see the animals and have dessert. Benjamin loved the tractor "display" and Daniel loved all the animals, but ended up calling them "doggies."

Saturday, Brian attempted to go Tuna fishing with Uncle Jim, Cessaries and some work comrads. Unfortunately, the waters were too rough, so they had to turn back. Later in the day on Saturday, Daniel got his first haircut! He looks pretty cute, but much too grown up!

Sunday was our normal busy day, but after Church History class we were able to catch Benjamin and Cessaries "practicing" their duet. :-)

Welcome to The Herren House!

Hi Everybody . . . I thought this would be a great way to keep anyone interested up-to-date on the Herren-Happenings! I think this will mainly be devoted to the boys, but I will also update any grown-up activities as well. To start us out here are some pics from our recent camping trip to Iron Creek in Washington.
